| Here's Sue at the recent party Dave threw. I knew Sue sophomore year, but never had much contact with her. She's nice enough - but her "party every weekend" lifestyle wouldn't mesh well with my "stay home and do whatever the heck it is I do" lifestyle. | |
| Here's Melissa - the fiance of my roomate Scott. She now lives in GR and works for Bank One. I should ask her sometime why banks have such dorky names. Bank One, Fifth-Third...what were they thinking??! | |
|
Here's Dave's mom and dad (in the back) tending to the cooking
fires. Actually, I'm not sure why Dave's mom didn't just cuss the
food until it burst into flames - probably wanted a more even heating
or something. She's a great lady. Dave's dad looks like Santa Claus, collects stuff, and works as a secret agent for the NSA, or at least used to. He could tell you what's for dinner but...well, you know. |
|
| Stacey - only photography majors enjoy cameras that much. That's probably a good thing. | |
| Here is Jeremy posing. How fascinating. | |
| Here is the whole gang together - sharing a meal, having a grand old time. This party served as a surrogate bachelor party for Scott. He (and Melissa) seemed to enjoy it. | |
| Here is Amy with her husband rich. This is at Rich's baptism and after several months of marital bliss for the two of them. Good for them. They both wear leather, Jodie and I both wear green winter coats. Coincidence? Nah. | |
| This is Jodie's sister Cassie and her boyfriend Jon. Cassie works at Willow Creek Church near Chicago. Its pretty big - it has its own IT department. Jon is an engineer - he was in the army. He's going to college now. | |
| Here are Jodie's grandparents on their 60th wedding anniversary, which is the same anniversary as Dairy Queen. Their family descended from all corners of the US for this event. It was pretty fun. | |
| There's Jodie and her opinion of being photographed. | |
|
Here is Dave and Jeremy's room. Here's one wall containing
some of Jeremy's toys. He's amassed quite a collection - mostly
from on-line sources. His room is a formidable excercise
in plastic molded into scary looking figures encased in more
plastic for display arrayed for your viewing pleasure. Cool, eh? |

This is the Van Andel arena right after Jodie's graduation - a
three hour ceremony (four for us, since we got there an hour
early). It was full of pomp and circumstance. Still, they had a pretty cool sound and light show, nice speakers, and even gave us cookies at the end. |
|
|
Here is the waitress at the Oriental Forest Chinese restraunt
that always recognizes Jodie and I (we go there often). We
like her and she seems to like us - even though her english
may not be the greatest. Nowadays she always gives us
little extra things to go with our meal. I hope I didn't surprise her too much with this picture. She puts up with way too much I think. |
|
| And to wrap it all up, Jodie, her mom, and my parents right after Jodie's graduation. Happy days, happy days. |
